‘Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, Gareth Bale to Man United’

According to the Sunday Mirror, this could be the week which sees Gareth Bale’s move from Real Madrid to Man United take shape.

It’s already been a busy summer for Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus.

But could Los Blancos be set to lose Gareth Bale as well?

Bale, who scored twice in the Champions League final against Liverpool, has made it plain he needs more game time in 2018-19.

Could that lead to a Man United move?

The Mirror play up that possibility this weekend, as they report that Bale will sit down with Real Madrid this week for crunch talks about his future. The tabloid claim:

Welsh superstar Bale was back in his hometown Cardiff last week to visit his new bar Elevens and told friends he is “open minded” about his future.

Man United are Bale’s preferred destination if he does decided to end his five-year stay in Spain.

Old Trafford officials are aware of that and are prepared to pay around £90 million for him.

The Mirror believe that Bale’s move to Man United is contingent on Real Madrid’s other business.

Provided Real can land their key targets, Bale, it’s claimed, could be allowed the leave the Santiago Bernabeu. Readers are told:

There is a feeling influential president Florentino Perez is loathed to lose Bale so soon after Ronaldo’s departure to Italian champions Juventus.

But that could change if he manages to bring in two Galactico signings.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is one name on their list of targets, which also includes Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Robert Lewandowski.

There’s obviously a load fo ifs, buts and maybes surrounding Bale and Hazard possible moves this summer.

Yet Hazard has appeared to set the wheels in motion with his comments after Saturday’s match with England at the World Cup.
