Kylian Mbappe told to join Liverpool by Fabinho

Fabinho may have only just joined Liverpool, but the midfielder is already getting to work.

Not only has he been training and getting ready for his debut season in the Premier League, but he’s also been talking to one of his former Monaco teammates – Kylian Mbappe.

Fabinho noted the two are on good terms, and joked that he’s already trying to wear Mbappe down and convince the Frenchman to join Liverpool!

Sky Sports report he said: “He [Mbappe] has already said this season he will remain at PSG, but I still try slowly to convince him to come over,”

“Kylian Mbappe sent me a text message congratulating me for coming to Liverpool. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to congratulate him for what he did during this World Cup.

“What France did was fantastic. What Mbappe did in two years of professional football is amazing. He is a phenomenon and needs to be congratulated, and as soon as I have the chance I will.”

Fabinho isn’t the only double agent at the club – Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah both played roles in convincing Alisson to join the club, with Firmino and his wife convincing Natalia Becker – Alisson’s wife – that the city is a great place to raise a family.

Not only that, but Salah text the player asking if he was arriving and telling him to hurry up – and it will certainly help that the player has so many friends and people he already knows in the squad – to allow him to settle in as quickly as possible.
