Man United ‘intent’ on signing Alex Sandro as Luke Shaw takes a stand after Everton’s bid

For the second time in three days, the Times have an update on Luke Shaw on Monday.

Shaw was part of the Manchester United pre-season squad who travelled to America on Sunday.

But will Shaw still be part of Jose Mourinho’s squad when the new season begins?

The Times announced last weekend that Everton have tried to sign Shaw this summer.

But the former Southampton defender has rejected the opportunity to join Everton.

The Times today reveal that Luke Shaw has no intention of leaving Man United this summer.

For the record, Shaw is under contract at the Theatre of Dreams until 2019. The broadsheet now reveals the following:

Manchester United are facing the possibility of losing Luke Shaw on a free transfer next summer.

The 23-year-old is not concerned about reports that United are intent on signing Alex Sandro, the Juventus full back, and believes that he can become José Mourinho’s first-choice left back this season despite his spats with the United manager and a lack of game time under the Portuguese.

This is also the second time in the space of three days that the Times have posted an update on Man United’s interest in Alex Sandro.

Previously the broadsheet have revealed that the Brazilian has “provisionally agreed” terms with Man United over a summer switch.

What’s clear, however, is that Man United and Juventus haven’t reached terms on any transfer.

Alex Sandro could cost the Red Devils upwards of 50 to 60 million pounds.
