Tottenham put seven players up for sale

On Monday the Evening Standard have posted an update on Tottenham’s summer transfer activities.

It’s Groundhog Day for Spurs fans again this off-season.

So far Tottenham have yet to sign a single player to boost their squad. Should Spurs fans be worried?

Daniel Levy, Tottenham’s power-broker, is well known for waiting until the final days of the window before Spurs start signing players.

Yet, while Spurs fans are hoping for new faces to arrive in north London, the club are trying to shift seven players this summer.

It’s reported that Tottenham are looking to trouser £30 million for deals to sell Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente.

The Evening Standard fail to suggest where Llorente may be headed (back to Spain?), while Janssen could return to Fenerbahce.

As to the other players who may leave Spurs, the Evening Standard announce:

World Cup semi-finalists Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose are also expected to be sold for the right price, while youngsters Marcus Edwards and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou are surplus to requirements.

Spurs flew to America on Sunday to star their 2018 pre-season tour.

Mauricio Pochettino has lined up three friendlies in the US.

Spurs will take on Italians AS Roma on July 26 in San Diego. That’s followed by matches against Spanish champions Barcelona in Los Angeles on July 29, and finally a game against AC Milan in Minneapolis on August 1.
