Alvaro Morata Come Out Hero After Poor Europa Performance
Chelsea’s struggling striker Alvaro Morata went from flop to Hero in the Blues’ Europa League clash with MOL Vidi at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri’s side took on their Hungarian opponents in a game that they were expected to win with ease.
That was not the case as Chelsea struggled to break down a tough underdog at the Bridge.
Chances took charge of the game, with Vidi even grabbing themselves a few chances of their own!
Though, it was the man who had grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the first-half that made the difference.
That man was Alvaro Morata who missed the biggest chances in the game.
Some lovely play with Pedro gave the striker nice one-on-one with the Vidi goalkeeper and he looked set to score.
Instead, his attempts were all of no goods, as he failed miserably as a forward, managing to stick the ball wide of the woodworks.
There were praises to him at the end of the game. That is because Morata went on to score the winning goal for Chelsea at 66th minutes in the game.
