Kepa Arrizabalaga Reveals how David De Gea helped him at Chelsea

 When the Spanish national team get together for the international break, David De Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga will both be in the squad.

The Chelsea and Man United keepers are direct rivals for Spanish Number One.

De Gea came under criticism in the summer.

De Gea's reputation plummeted in the summer at the World Cup. Whether fairly or not, the Spanish media singled out the Man United goalie as Spain failed to impress in Russia.

De Gea’s most unfortunate memorable moment at the World Cup came when he allowed a Cristiano Ronaldo shot to slip through his grasp.

On Sunday Kepa started in goal for Chelsea away at Southampton.

Prior to the game, Kepa has revealed De Gea has helped him settle in at Chelsea:

Every player settles into a new league in different ways. David (De Gea) is a team-mate with the national team and we get on really well. When I signed for Chelsea, he gave me some advice, telling me a bit about how it was for him when he came here.
Of course, he has been here for years now and is playing at a fantastic level. We were at the World Cup together and had a good chat about the differences between Spanish and English football.
It’s a good thing to interact with a top goalkeeper who has so much experience in the Premier League.
You need a little time, the usual sort of time it takes to get to know your team-mates and the league itself, but it’s all good generally, I’m very happy.
